Seeking to burn all remnants of past selves and drop them into the Atlantic. Streams of water run over until we vanish into sediment. Not in sadness, but a moment of necessary sublimation. Frozen for months. A breakdown and rebuild from ash. Holding to those you love, give them small pieces to keep. Have you ever wondered, if those in the infinite up in cinder and smoke laugh at our attempt to find the means to distribute them the way they wished? When it will continue to change shape? As the body is never the same as it was when you held yourself months ago. Mind is liminal, physical not. There's no right way to put it. Only to kiss the ash of life, and move forward. In any way you can.

This work was constructed in the time period I was a resident at the Art Print Residence in Arenys de Munt in Catalonia, Spain. It utilized abaca fibers and their fleshy properties, jute twine, and only plants found in the surrounding areas. Accompanied by audio, this work was up and able to be entered for 3 days at the residency, and then relocated to the woods of Orrius, wherein it found its final resting place to deteriorate and feed the earth once again.
